The church in Cuba today
January 10th, 2017
By Gerald Studier

Re “The church in Cuba today,” Father Kenneth Weare, Dec. 15, 2016:

It appears in this article that Fidel Castro and his now ruling brother were Catholic. If they were, did they attend church regularly and was Fidel’s death observed in a Cuban Catholic church? I am sure that if one asked the question: Is there religious freedom in Cuba? 90 percent of Americans would have said “No.”
