Mission Statement

As the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, Catholic San Francisco is charged with sharing in the mission of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.

It at once functions as a public communication between the Archbishop and the people of the Archdiocese as well as a vehicle to assist readers reach an awareness and clearer understanding of news, events, issues and Church developments – locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Catholic San Francisco will adhere to professional standards of journalism and at the same time strive to be an instrument of unity. Through accurate, open, complete and commentaries, reflections and dialogue, the pages of Catholic San Francisco should serve to inform, inspire, catechize and motivate its readers.
