Father Wilton Smith, retired pastor of St. Veronica Church in South San Francisco, died Feb. 12, 2021 at Golden Home Extended Care in San Rafael. Father Smith was a priest for 62 years and 88 years old.

Notre Dame de Namur University announced Jan. 26, 2021 that the school will remain open beyond spring 2021. The announcement followed a meeting of the NDNU board of trustees where the vote was unanimous that the school continue operations.
